With diverse backgrounds in performance experience, training, and engagement within the arts sector both in Australia and overseas, the voices of AVÉ offer a unique opportunity for commissioning, creation, collaboration, and championing 21st-century Australian vocal works.

AVÉ believes in the power of music to tell stories and connect people and commissions Australian composers each year to share the songs and stories of our country. AVÉ are championing the talent and diversity of Australia’s living composers and sharing in the potential of our incredible musical landscape. 

To bring these commissioned works to life, AVÉ embarks on creative development periods as an ensemble. These periods allow for exploration and growth, time and space to refine the sound world of the ensemble and delve deeper into the intricacies of each composition. During these sessions, AVÉ pushes the boundaries of their vocal capabilities, experiments with new techniques and styles, and discovers new ways to engage audiences.

The creative development process is an opportunity to collaborate with composers, arrangers, and other artists to exchange ideas and perspectives as they prepare for touring, performing and recording new works to share.
